Terres de l’Ebre is a complex organism, constantly changing at all levels. With this project the memory and historical construction of the territory are filtered from a leitmotif: the invasive species. They seek to establish tensions between the collective imaginary, fantasy and the universal. It is proven to find a narrative slit. Question the clichés. In what consideration are the cultural contacts that have historically affected the territory? Based on what a reading is fixed as imaginary? Under what parameters is a natural evolution change and other cultural intrusion considered? How is the gaze built towards the other? It aspires, rather than responding, to socialize doubts. The presentation of invasive species will take place in two moments, an exhibition in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat and an itinerary through the Delta del Ebro, relating the various readings that can be made of the same narrative construct. “Invasive species” is a project by Elena Blesa Cábez, Joana Gil and Oriol Fuster that has been selected in the modality of intervention in the landscape and nature of the 2019 Art Jove contest open call and carried out in collaboration with theCentre d’Art de Terres de l’Ebre Lo Pati. It has a mentoring process carried out by Nancy Garín.
