… I feel like my explanations makes hard to digest the synthetic mixture that we are taking, and it has already begun to causes me cramps. I think about a vomit, a dubious origin substances, a patina of information that greases my projects, ¡What an indigestion!… that I associate now to the struggle of the ‘Medicane’…”

For this first projects in Bombon Projects, Martin Llavaneras presents Medicane,

A proposal that take the name of Mediterranean cyclones to explore the functions, morphologies and the exotic representations. The work of Llavaneras analyses the prime material’s vital cycle and it questions its flow; the energy transfer that is generated from circuits and the logistic operations, and that ends up infiltrated in our organism.

His proposals weaves and interwines environments of industrial production from where it extracts structures, mechanisms and circuits that transfer to the sculptural language. This forms overflow, expand and insinuate other possible lectures that bring closer the sculpture to the performance.

In Medicane, Llavaneras continues his exploration of the idea of circulation and performativity, of atmospheric instability and chaotic potential. It’s this evocative field, that he uses as an umbrella under which he explores the representations of the concept of exotism.

For this exhibition Llavaneras wrote also a text that he includes as another piece. This text susceptible to be cut, pasted, erased, and overexposed, functions here as another step to a new conceptual level that put his proposal inside a narrative.
