AGUAS

AGUAS is a curatorial platform founded in 2018 by artist and curator Rodrigue Mouchez Armendariz with the aim of initiating a meaningful dialogue between artists, curators and writers from different art scenes and cultural horizons, particularly from Europe, Latin America and Maghreb. After having organized exhibitions in Brussels (Belgium), Mexico City (Mexico) and Miami (USA) in 2018, AGUAS opens an exhibition space in Barcelona in 2023 with the inaugural exhibition entitled 'The city I grew up in was made of stone but they made it on mud'. With the exhibition projects and seminars that we will initiate in the coming years, we will seek to strengthen, among other lines of research, the idea of misappropriation and its creative potential in the fight against extractivism in artistic creation.
