The exhibition ComicLAB 2024. Free Grapich wants to vindicate the value of comics as an art potentially as worthy of attention as any other means of expression, as any other of the visual arts: painting, sculpture, photography, film or video. And, therefore, it vindicates the comic or graphic comic as an art that, in its best manifestations, deserves to be considered as a cultural heritage that can -and sometimes should- be the object of collection, preservation with institutional means and dissemination not only in its book, comic book, magazine or album format, in printed or digital support, but also in the format of other visual arts: the exhibition in a gallery, a museum or an art center.
