ACVIC‘s transversal capacity building programme aims to open up a space for collective learning about contemporary artistic practices, their languages and forms of knowledge.

The programme is built upon the lines of work of the Art Centre and the exhibitions which will be open at the same time. It is an opportunity to delve into contemporary artistic work both in terms of its materiality and the themes it explores, with the help of the artists who will be presenting their work at the centre.

It is a face-to-face theoretical/practical programme, aimed at anyone who takes an interest in contemporary artistic practices from different perspectives: artists, curators, theorists, students, teachers, amateurs, etc.

Bringing together a diverse group of people, the programme aims to show them what is happening at the art centre, to collect their responses from their curiosity and penetrating perspectives. There will be a final presentation at the end of the programme as a public activity.

Anna Dot and Ángela Palacios, two professionals from the arts and education, will support the group and will follow them in alternate sessions throughout the programme. Other sessions will involve joint work, and there will also be outings and visits to other contemporary arts spaces and projects in the surrounding area. The programme includes a series of open seminars and workshops related to the exhibitions, open to the general public.

The sessions are once a week on Sundays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
