Screening + colloquium with Juan Crek, Anki Toner and Gat
This session is dedicated to Anton Ignorant (1957-2019), musician, performer and multidisciplinary artist, who was one of the main cultural agitators of the musical avant-garde in Barcelona in the 80s and 90s.
He created projects such as Avant-Dernières Pensées and Audiopeste. He was also a member of Macromassa, Secreto Metro, Raeo, d_infection, I.N.R.I. and The Ignotoner and collaborated with Pascal Comelade, Clónicos and Superelvis, among others.
He founded the cassette labels 1984 Cintas and Grand Mal Ediciones, where he released many works by musicians from the experimental scene. He was also one of the driving forces behind the 4 Sellos project, which brought together the labels Cintas del Fin, Duplicadora, Grand Mal Ediciones and LMD.
He combined his artistic activity with work in cultural management, music production and technical direction of open-air events.
In 2008 he moved to Buenos Aires, where he continued his artistic activity. Since 2015 she has been teaching in the Theatre and Performance Area of the Faculty of Design and Communication at the University of Palermo.
In this session we will watch a video with a selection of his performances between 1990 and 2004.
