Achille Mbembe, Cameroonian philosopher and father of postcolonial studies, is one of the most influential philosophers today.

Mbembe will be the protagonist of the Ferrater Mora Lessons from April 22 to 25, 2024.

The author will talk about necropolitics and everything it involves: colonial violence, racism, the subjugation of life to extractivist capitalism. But he was also the author of a short and poignant text entitled ‘The right to breathe’ which he published in April 2020, after a month of confinement during the covid19 pandemic. In it, he brought into dialogue the relationship between the sick body, the sickness of the air and the dependence on digital infrastructures of great psycho-social and environmental impact.
