Manifesta 15 is looking for primary and secondary school teachers who work in the metropolitan region of Barcelona to form a working group interested in reflecting on the current state of teaching and participating in the creation of teaching materials applicable to the educational context.
This programme is based on research conducted by the Manifesta 15 Education Department, ‘Fora per fer Escola’, which focuses on progressive educational initiatives that occurred in Catalonia before and after the Francoist regime, such as Escola del Mar/Escola de Bosc, Vil·la Joana, the collective of teachers Batec and the Escoles en Lluita popular movement.
The purpose of the workshops is to contextualise past pedagogical situations and methodologies based on the experience and knowledge of participating teachers, in order to develop a set of pedagogical tools applicable to the current educational context of our region.
