On the occasion of the exhibition Andar con el río we will invite the artist Eva Lootz to give a conference about her work and the creation processes that have led her to present the works that can currently be seen at the Fundació Suñol.
Drawing, because it is something so immediate and direct, is an immense field that has the advantage that it does not require sophisticated means. It can be done with almost nothing and anyone can do it. In fact, all children draw. I want to start by taking a brief tour of different ways of doing things, and then stop at some of the ways that, over the years, I have personally practiced or that have interested me in a special way. And finally, review the extraordinary case of a series of women-mediums from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, who became painters and draftsmen and used their activity for healing (Hilma af Klint, Georgina Houghton, Emma Kunz, Josefa Tolrá and Madge Gill).
