Presentation of the research projects developed in residence during 2023 by Isa Fontbona at La Chambre Blanche in Quebec, Mar Serinyà at Rad’Art Project (Italy), Paula Artés at Lo Pati. Terres de l’Ebre Art Center (Amposta) and Juliana Hoyos al Bòlit.

‘Rewetting the body. The sound of meat. Dialogues between physical limits’ by Isa Fontbona is a project that focuses on the investigation of the body, taken to the limits while exploring the connection between sound and corporeality in long-term actions.

Mar Serinyà in ‘Parlant amb les plantes’ carried out a study of the plants that live in the territory of St. Romano developing a work that helps us to reflect on the current relationship we have with our environment and re-establish the links with it.

‘Energia Sumergida’ is an investigation where Paula Artés exposes all the structures behind the Castor Platform and its earthquakes, among other causes of economic powers. Revealing and asking us what resources they use and how they manage certain State companies.

‘SoUNd’ by Juliana Hoyos is a project that addresses issues surrounding the nature of human perception and sound, related to the mental and philosophical experiment: “If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it , does it make any sound?” which raises questions regarding the observation and knowledge of reality, which the artist transits from a language of visual and sound representation, in relation to the limits of perception and experience.

In collaboration with La Chambre Blanche, Lo Pati. Terres de l’Ebre Art Center and Rad’Art Project.
