On the occasion of the LOOP Festival 2024, we present the video installation ‘Tláloc, Contadero’ by the artist Carmen Mariscal. Composed of two films filmed in the encounter with the last process of destruction of her childhood home in Mexico City, the work addresses issues linked to memory and the concept of habitat (or housing). For Carmen, the first habitat of the human being is his body, followed by the clothes, the houses, cities and public spaces.
