Lab 36 is a creative hub and a meeting space that aims to encourage the participation of the local community in its many forms of expression by the promotion and collaboration of different cultural centers of Barcelona.

The space is currently presented from a renewed perspective and with a fresh proposal that meets the needs of the present time. However, Lab 36 has a long history of promoting art, dating back to 1998 under its old name “Espai 292” until 2016, when the space changed its name to “Lab 36”, in reference to the street where it is located – Trafalgar # 36. With the same spirit open to artistic experimentation, and the impetus towards supporting contemporary creation, Lab 36 ceases to be a multifunctional space of Galería Senda; and since the beginning of 2021 it becomes independent with the aim to expand its scope, offering a versatile program sensitive to the effervescence of today’s creative dynamics.

With the intention of having its own programming, Lab 36 seeks to be a space for research and openness where one of its main values ​​is experimentation, as well as the integration of the local creative community.
