Presentation

After five years of research, the photographer Paula Artés has produced the exhibition “Submerged Energy,” which can be seen at Lo Pati until June 9th, a work in which the artist shows her most committed side and proposes a reflection on the network of power and control relationships linking the activity of Escal UGS (one of the world’s largest construction companies) and the Spanish state in the construction of the platform.

And as a parallel activity to the exhibition, on Saturday, April 27th at 6:00 p.m., a guided tour has been scheduled, and at 7:00 p.m., the presentation of the exhibition catalog and a roundtable discussion in which artists and social agents of the territory will participate to analyze the abuses of power of the Castor project. The debate table will feature the participation of journalist Jordi Marsal, author of the book “Castor: the seismic bubble”; Josep Giner, Ph.D. in geology; Evelio Monfort representing the Platform in Defense of the Lands of the Sénia; Carolina Ciuti, curator of the exhibition; and photographer Paula Artés.
